The new TDG/CMOG split is out today through List of Lakes Arts. Tapes available from the label soon.

Our side is a new piece titled “Unplucked Arrow,” featuring longtime friends of the band Erika Andrews, Erin Monaghan and Katie Walker. We recorded the piece at home at AC with Russell playing Jordan Hay’s upright. This song represents the most we’ve ever leaned in to the chamber music side of our sound and is almost entirely acoustic except for the vocal processing and a Pusha T sample.

Car Made of Glass continue the more mature sound they brought out on Every Song Is a Good Song with what is easily their most accomplished work yet, showcasing a depth of vision and instrumental mastery unlike anything else in their stellar discography. It was a pleasure to work with not just great friends but also my favorite band.

Thought:

“Any prose writer, even if he doesn’t use narrative the way narrative is traditionally used, is concerned with narrative. I mean the reader has to go from A to Z and it’s going to take a long time and that’s narrative. There’s no way to get around it; that’s the form.”
