The new Those Darn Gnomes/Potion split is out on cassette and digital today.

TDG’s side is four tracks of blasting noisecore similar in style to last year’s All Tiny Breasts Crushed Beneath the Shadow. I did vocals on tracks 1-3 while Russell took care of the final song, “A Plague on ___.”

Potion’s side is Hunter’s most brutal material I’ve ever heard him do under this name, closer in sound to his work with the excellent Trichomoniasis than anything he’s released as Potion before. Hunter’s always existed at the vanguard of another plane of grind, but here members of Car Made of Glass help turn Potion’s usual sound into something like Defeated Sanity in an actual blender.

Any money made from sales of this split will be divided between over 70 community bail funds, mutual aid funds and racial justice organizers. You can read more about that here.
